Hi friends,
The holiday season is here (yikes!) and its the time for giving. What better way to give than to help your favorite resort give back to it's community?
Many of you may be surprised to know that the Sandals company works very hard to give back to the underprivileged communities surrounding their resort properties throughout the Caribbean. They started the Sandals Foundation to help "educate, build, and protect the Caribbean" (see more info here).
During the holidays they participate in a Toy Drive for children, and throughout the year they give donations to schools, charities, and various projects throughout the Caribbean. Last year they lended a very helping hand to their neighbors in Haiti, helping them recover from the devastating earthquake.
If you wish to participate this season in the Holiday Toy Drive, you may mail your toys to Sandals directly (see below).
Or, anyone who is visiting Beaches/Sandals in the next month, please don't forget to bring a toy down with you. It doesn't have to be an expensive toy. It can be a doll, some blocks, or even a toy you remember loving while growing up. Please only send UNUSED and UNOPENED toys (for safety reasons).
Or, if you'd like to help throughout the year and aren't sure how, you can contact the Sandals Foundation for more information, or contact My Paradise Planner to have our agents bring your donation down for you when we visit the resorts in 2011. Email us at info@MyParadisePlanner.com.
